BROMEDIR Launch
Introducing BROMEDIR Project, a new collaborative effort developed by a multi-disciplinary team coordinated by CyRIC, Cyprus Research and Innovation Center Ltd, under the EU framework of the Horizon Europe Programme. The project aims to tackle the increasing need for miniaturised sensors providing simultaneous access to multiple chemical and biochemical parameters sensing. Optical spectroscopy is the golden standard for the identification and quantitative measurement of several chemicals simultaneously, using a single device: a spectrometer. In BROMEDIR, this new generation of miniature spectrometers will be used to develop sensing platforms, to be demonstrated in 3 application domains: a) sustainable farming, b) fuel quality control and c) hydrogen supply chain quality monitoring .
The project was officially launched on January 1st, 2023 and has a duration of 42 months. The Kick-Off meeting of all partners is taking place very soon in Nicosia, Cyprus.
